The worst experience I have ever had. Staff was unfriendly, insulting, discriminatory. I had cash in hand for xray and consult but they refused to allow me to see the Dr. They said they don't accept "medicaid patients". This along with other insulting comment such as "if you can afford cash, you should not be on medicaid". I DO NOT and have never had medicaid.I provided them my insurance card and my ID. I lost a day of work, a one hour commute each way and was treated very bad. The office staff refused me the chance to be seen. TERRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE! Unprofessional, discourteus, demeaning, a waste of time, argumentative. I never thought there was a single medical or dental service in this country where one could be refused with cash payment, or humiliated for their life status which totally did not apply to me at all! Unbelievable. They should not be in business, or the office manager needs to go.

What do you get when you have to leave your job and give up your own life to take care of your spouse? Medicaid. A form of coverage that this practice neither participates with or who will treat anyone that falls under that said coverage. This practice thought that my BCBS coverage was just through that provider, but actually BCBS is the carrier of my new Medicaid coverage. Guess who now has a nice fresh $260.00 bill? I do. Because this practice cannot collect on this bill through Medicaid, I'm now responsible for the bill. I guess this practice doesn't understand or care about the fact that being on Medicaid means I have no money. It's part of the package. My wife is dying from Dementia/Alzheimer's and in order for my wife to receive Medicaid and in-home care, I cannot have an income because our COMBINED household income would exceed Medicaid's cut off line. It's a daunting line to walk, but it's the choice I made so that my wife can live out her last year or two in the home we built together rather than shoving her into a nursing home where all the real nightmares come true, and Proactive Periodontal Care wants to scrape us for $260.00 that we simply do not have. My first visit was for a consultation. Dr. Miranda was very thorough with explaining what to expect. Very friendly staff. Next visit was for a tooth extraction. For such an unpleasant procedure Dr. Miranda was very gentle and comforting. Very little to no discomfort. Cannot say enough good things. Staff and Dr. were great! Strongly recommend this office.

I can honestly say I haven’t had a better experience in any dental facility than this one. Front desk staff were so nice, dental assistant was very wonderful, and most importantly Dr. Miranda herself was so kind, gentle, and knowledgeable. Truly a wonderful person with wonderful people working for her. Thank you so much!

Top of the line care here! I trust Dr. Miranda and her staff with all my heart. They have helped improve the health of my mouth incredibly. I recommend her office every time someone asks for a periodontist! Dr. Miranda explains everything to her patients, puts them at ease, and is very thorough in all care instructions. Best of all, I felt very little pain from all of the procedures that I have had so far: gum grafts, extractions, and dental implants. Dr. Miranda and the staff at Proactive Periodontal Care are amazing, and I would never go anywhere else... ever!
